Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.

Another three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.

The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
