Jair Bolsonaro has been arrested after authorities found he posed a concrete flight risk while under home confinement.

The one-time leader was sentenced of orchestrating a military coup in the ninth month and given more than over two decades in jail, but he remained under house arrest pending court reviews.

He said the demonstration would be so followers could "pray for his well-being and for the return of democracy in our land."

Context of Sentencing

The former president was determined responsible of leading a conspiracy aimed at keeping him in power after he was defeated in the national vote to his ideological adversary, President Lula.
