Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
